Lewis M. Brooks, Jr.
September 28, 1948 - June 15, 2008


Lewis Manning Brooks, Jr. of Arlington, MA, 59, died Sunday, June 15th, 2008, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. He was the beloved husband of Lillian Brooks (Leone).

Lewis was born in Boston and was a lifelong Arlington resident who for many years owned and operated Lewis M. Brooks, Jr., Printing in Arlington, MA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Lewis M. Brooks, III of Arlington, Jeffery Brooks and his wife Christina of Framingham, and Laura Brooks of Medford. He is survived by a sister, Phyllis Tobey and her husband Glen Tobey of Malden and his mother-in-law Elda Leone of Winchester. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Dr. Robert Leone and his wife Janet and by his sister-in-law Lorraine Nichols and her husband Ralph. Also survived by cousins, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, and dear friends.

Lewis was a Freemason and a member of Arlington DeMolay and later Mystic Valley Lodge. He was also a member of Medford Council, Coeur de Lion Commandery, and Mystic-Woburn Royal Arch Chapter.

Lewis coached and managed the AAA Phillies in Arlington Little League from 1990-2007. He was proud of every team and player, but his proudest moments were when the Phillies won back to back Town Championships in 2005 and 2006.

Lewis will be greatly missed.
